The Šumava you remember from childhood
Bláhův mlýn stands at the edge of Stachy, a short walk from the point where the Spůlka stream cuts into the forest. Apartments to rent, a shared wellness area and the kind of quiet you rarely find in the mountains.
The house was built on the site of an old mill and kept a good deal of it — timber on the walls and floors, stone in the plinth, a jetty by the stream. Inside, however, everything is new: underfloor heating, solid wood kitchens, three-layer oak flooring and a wired internet connection, not just Wi-Fi.
Every apartment has its own kitchen and bathroom, so you can cook for yourselves and are not tied to a restaurant's opening hours. Add to that the shared wellness area with hot tubs, a Finnish sauna and a steam room — after a full day on skis or on the bike, there is no better way to recover.
We are in the second zone of the Šumava National Park. In practice that means nothing else will be built around the house, and the view from your terrace will be the same in twenty years' time.

How to find us
Stachy lies between Vimperk and Kašperské Hory at 806 metres above sea level. From Prague it is roughly two hours via Strakonice, from České Budějovice an hour and a half. Parking is right by the house and included in the price.
